Summary
The project deals with the development of the integration of available and newly collected geospatial data, BIM models and the concept of digital twins for smart infrastructure management. Through the implementation of scientific research, the guidelines of an individual and integrated approach to the collection of geospatial data and the creation of the concept of digital twins will be established. The unified model is obtained from the integration of geospatial data and BIM, for the purpose of precise planning, monitoring and maintenance of infrastructural and cultural objects, and it is additionally planned to implement on such a model different types of sensors that provide data in real time ("Internet of Things"), for example tilt-sensors or sensors of temperature, humidity, pressure, traffic counters or cameras, and periodic monitoring of the object by measuring at different time intervals at identical points. As part of the project, an analysis of buildings is planned for the purposes of obtaining technical and functional information, and a survey that will include multiple sources of geospatial data for the purpose of modeling three different types of infrastructure facilities: cultural heritage (church), traffic infrastructure (bridge) and water structures (hydraulic construction). For each of the facilities, modern geodetic and geomatic data collection technologies will be used using high-precision GNSS devices, UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), 3D laser scanning (LiDAR), precision leveling, underground installation trackers, photogrammetry, and IoT sensors to monitor events in real time. The results of integrated measurement, periodic monitoring, analysis and processing will be digital twins of infrastructure buildings or cultural heritage buildings defined in the state coordinate system, i.e. a unique visual-analytical system. Such models will enable monitoring, control, risk analysis, intervention planning and predictive maintenance, especially for buildings that have important functional and cultural significance. The project will be carried out through the phases of data collection from individual sensors, analysis, processing, testing and standardization of observations, then integration of observed geospatial data obtained from different instruments, definition of a digital model and an integrated solution of the concept of digital twins. A significant innovative contribution to the modernization of building management is expected, as well as enabling a wider application of solutions in the context of infrastructure management, smart cities and digital transformation of the public sector.
