Summary
Additive technologies, especially LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion), enable fast and precise production of complex geometries with minimal material waste, making them suitable for use in the automotive, aerospace and space industries. However, during the process, internal residual stresses occur that can cause deformations, cracks and a decrease in the mechanical properties of the manufactured parts. The research focuses on the influence of LPBF process parameters on the occurrence of internal residual stresses and their relationship with the microstructure and dynamic properties of materials, especially AlSi10Mg alloy and MARAGING steel. The project includes modeling, fabrication of 3D LPBF test specimens using the additive process, laboratory testing of samples, microscopic analysis for the purpose of microstructure characterization, testing of mechanical properties (static and dynamic), measurement of internal stresses in test specimens, and statistical processing of the results using the response surface method. The goal is to optimize process parameters and develop the foundations for future predictive models based on machine learning. The project is being carried out in collaboration with domestic and foreign research institutions, and the results will contribute to a safer and more reliable application of LPBF technology for the production of highly loaded machine parts.
