The ZENTRIP project includes research into the energy transition in the process industry by applying comparative and applicable renewable energy sources and achieving technical, technological and energy capabilities from the aspect of energy efficiency, carbon neutrality and economic sustainability. The state and development trends and the maximum reach of the green energy transition in the process industry in Croatia are investigated. The application of individual renewable energy source technologies and their application in low-accumulative and high-accumulative facilities and systems of the process industry are considered and distinguished. The external and internal main conditions and parameters and specific micro parameters of the process industry significant for achieving complete green energy sustainability (heating, cooling, electricity) will be investigated with a scaled priority of the optimal renewable energy source. The maximum possibilities of energy independence and accumulation capabilities will be investigated and analyzed in the context of the relationship between the capacity, continuity and frequency of renewable energy sources in agro-technological and processing systems. The acquired measuring and logically integrated equipment will be used to perform practical measurements in the process system and, in correlation with laboratory simulated models, to propose guidelines and modular, subject to specific modifications, algorithms for the green energy transition in the process industry. In cooperation with partners, the results of project research will be published in journals and international conferences. The innovation of individual courses of the SVSJ study programs by introducing new teaching methods and/or elective courses will be considered.
