Summary
The project is focused on the development and biological evaluation of bioinspired compounds. The interactions between compounds described in the literature and specific receptors will be studied. Within the project, an in vitro model for the biological evaluation of bioinspired compounds will be developed, based on whole-blood samples. The purpose of the proposed model is to assess the safety and efficacy of bioinspired compounds in a physiologically relevant environment. Based on the obtained results, new compounds will be designed and synthesized, which are expected to exhibit more potent biological activity. The interactions of the compounds with RIPK kinase will be investigated, as well as their impact on the NF-κB signaling pathway, which is essential for regulating inflammatory responses. Furthermore, the stimulation of antimicrobial peptides will be examined with the aim of developing new therapeutic approaches. The project also includes educating the general public and students about the research results and innovative approaches. By integrating multidisciplinary methods, the project contributes to advancing the understanding and application of bioinspired compounds in immunology and antimicrobial therapy.
