The project “Digital Transition and Sustainable Business in the Contemporary Business Environment” examines the relationship between digital transformation and sustainability in small and medium-sized enterprises as well as higher education institutions. Its primary aim is to investigate how digitalisation reshapes internal organisational structures, business models, and operational practices, particularly in the context of sustainable development. The project is grounded in an interdisciplinary scientific approach that integrates theoretical insights from digital management and sustainable business. It combines qualitative and quantitative research methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of real-world conditions. Planned activities include the analysis of existing business practices, the implementation of case studies, structured interviews, and survey research. The objective is to map the level of digital and sustainable maturity across different organisations. Project outcomes include the development of an analytical framework for assessing the integration of digital solutions that support sustainability, as well as the identification of key factors that either facilitate or hinder this integration. The findings will support the improvement of business processes, strategic planning, and the strengthening of organisational capacities necessary for the transition to sustainable business models.
