The project will deal with research and analysis of financial and sustainability reporting and their dependence and connection as a key tool for strengthening corporate governance and improving the sustainability of business processes in accordance with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals and the green transition. Today, ESG is becoming a business component that is an indispensable part of business management, but also a legal obligation. Growing regulatory requirements and expectations of financial and non-financial stakeholders put sustainable business in the foreground, but also sustainable reporting and its connection with financial reporting and corporate governance. The focus of this project is on understanding how connection, synergy, and communication with stakeholders through these two forms of reporting contribute to the transparency, responsibility, and resilience of companies and enable more efficient management of sustainability through innovative methods and technologies. It is very important to examine and investigate the effect of sustainability reporting and financial reporting on strengthening corporate governance, strategic decision-making, and achieving ESG goals in the context of European green transition policies. The project includes an analysis of existing frameworks (regulatory, reporting, business practices), an assessment of the effectiveness and coherence of reporting approaches, and the identification of good practices in business practices. The project will collect and analyze relevant data on current financial and sustainability reporting practices, their impact on corporate governance, and the importance of the communication aspect towards stakeholders.
