Summary
The project investigates and develops an interdisciplinary model of information resilience and digital health literacy, grounded in theories of cognitive psychology, information science, sociology, and infospheric ethics. The aim is to understand how people search for, evaluate, and interpret health information in digital environments, with particular emphasis on the influence of misinformation and informational biases. Quantitative and qualitative research among students, professionals, and citizens will shape the theoretical foundation for developing educational curricula, resource centres, digital tools, and open educational materials. The project includes the development of an online platform and AI tools for misinformation detection, the creation of an elective course and a lifelong learning programme, as well as the establishment of a network of resource centres and a Health-Comm Hub. Special emphasis is placed on the inclusion of vulnerable groups—especially residents of rural areas and young users—and on cooperation with educational and healthcare institutions. Two scientific conferences, several research papers and edited volumes, as well as dissemination and sustainability activities, are planned. The project contributes to public health, information resilience, and the capacities of the education system, in line with the principles of open science and open education. All data, tools, and materials will be made available under an open licence, and the focus on user involvement and formative evaluation ensures relevance and scalability. The final outcome is raising the level of digital health literacy and information resilience in society through sustainable, replicable, and scientifically grounded educational models.
